2011 CLAUDIO ROCCHI In alto
Rocchi started as part of the legendary band Stormy Six. Early solo albums embraced folk music but in a unique way, with elements of Eastern influence, and psychedelia. After the early experimental-folk period came a very interesting phase of experimentation in electronic sound. He returned to music in the 1990s and in 2007 even directed a film called Pedra Mendalza, recording the soundtrack as well. He contributed some very unexpected mélanges of Italian rock, psych-folk-Eastern, pop, and electronic music. We believe his new album "in Alto", released on Cramps records October 25fth, would be of great interest to fans of the genre calling for deep attention and careful listening. 11 tracks of surprising electronic folk rock songs. Guitars and loops, vocal harmonies, clear poetry. A great work.
